Looking for Gallery Software

This isn’t really news, but I’m looking to add a gallery to the site.

I’m not replacing the portfolio or anything – in fact, I’m very happy with it. What I would like, however, is a place to display images that we think are good, but not quite good enough to make it to our portfolio.

Yes, I know Flickr serves that purpose – I actually have an account on Flickr that, if you’ve noticed, I use pretty often.  The thing is, I’d prefer a self-hosted gallery over a third-party.

Right now, I’m leaning towards Zenphoto, but I don’t know anybody who’s had experience with it.  Does anybody out there have anything good, bad, or ugly to say about it?

How about other software?  A WordPress plugin, perhaps?  What would you recommend?

Any help would be great.  Thanks!
